We are a family business, proud of our roots. We have grown in reputation to be one of Ireland’s renowned manufacturers of beautiful wood joinery and furniture. We have worked in countries as far away as Russia and have completed projects for a diversity of loyal and clients. Our Customers and Clients love our craftsmanship. We are pleased to build quality furniture for you and we are exceptionally proud of our work.
Sustainable Practices
- We employ the best practices possible to ensure sustainability.
- The furniture we make is heirloom quality and guaranteed for life.
- All saw dust is recycled and turned into wood briquettes on site.
- We support Friends of Trees.
- We have reduced our landfill amount by 50% via donations of scrap wood.
- We use High Efficiency Lighting in our Shop.
- Our office uses Recycled Paper Products.
- We use only high-grade lumber and each builder hand selects boards based on color and grain match. The hardwoods we offer include Cherry, Madrone, Maple, Quartered White Oak, Quartered Fumed Oak, Eastern Walnut, and Western Walnut.
Our Approach
- Half-blind dovetails are used on all drawers.
- Mortise and tenon joints are used extensively for strength and durability.
- Splines are used to ensure stability on end-grain joints.
- Our designs accommodate the expansion and contraction of solid wood.
- Multiple boards are carefully selected for consistency of colour and grain.
- Boards are split in two and “book-matched” for visual symmetry.
- One board is used continuously, whenever possible, on rails and stiles.
- We have collected the wood we use over several decades
